We work

with the simple assumption that timely prevention is always more effective, pleasant, cheaper than the consequent treatment of already existing health problems.

Pains of the locomotive apparatus

are acknowledged by the World Health Organization as the so called professionally conditioned illnesses.

This fact proves

that knowledge and evaluation of work risks including its relationship with clinical symptomatology can significantly help in preventing these illnesses. Also it is necessary to point out that as part of the professionally conditioned illnesses bring the illnesses of the locomotive apparatus the highest economical expenses.

Awareness

of these risk factors is one of the basic conditions for a rational therapy and prevention.



Risk factors of pain of the locomotive apparatus



A. Civilization risk factors: Factors related to changes of lifestyle (hypokinesis, lowered variability of movements, onesided monotonous physical strain, psycho-social factors).
B. Individual risk factors: Body constitution, age, sex, body weight, sport, out-of-work activities, other illnesses.
C. Risk factors of work conditions: Strenuous physical work, positional or movement strain (long term sitting, standing, forced-upon work positions), physical factors (whole-body vibrations, micro-climatic conditions), harmful chemical substances, psycho-social factors (negative work moral, monotonous work, stress).

Active prevention


Under the expression "active prevention" we understand active compensation of locomotive regime or compensation devices and tools, which balance out the one-sided long term load of the organism while working. There are many possibilities of compensation when we consider the work load, the age, state of health, gender, time constraints, etc.

- The ergonomics of work (correct work position, adjustment of work conditions, usage of ergonomic products)
- Targeted exercises performed during work which lighten the strain of the overused parts
- Recreational sport (swimming, running, ball games…)
- Fitness (jóga, powerjóga, posilovna, aerobic ...)
- Targeted rehabilitation exercises
- Relaxation procedures (massages, sauna…)
